About

The GTM Co-Founder is an open-source set of go-to-market skills for people taking developer tools and AI products to market. It runs inside the AI coding agent you already use, such as Claude Code or Cursor. You answer five questions about your product, stage, and buyer, and it returns a prioritized go-to-market roadmap you can then work through skill by skill.

It is deliberately not a marketing tactics library. It covers the strategy half of go-to-market: who the product is for, why those people pay, how to get the first users, how to position against the obvious alternative, how to launch, and how to price. Eighteen skills cover that ground, and a review skill acts as an enforcement layer so the output is challenged rather than flattered.

Who builds it

The project is built and maintained by Shane O'Connor, a go-to-market advisor working with developer tool and AI product companies through The DevTool GTM Company, based in Cork, Ireland. The methodology comes from hands-on work with technical founders and early go-to-market hires, sharpened by the published thinking of Adam Frankl and Jakub Czakon, and pressure-tested by founders who used early versions as design partners.

License and cost

The skills are free and MIT licensed. The source lives on GitHub at github.com/AIDevGTM/gtm-cofounder. Anyone can read the skills, fork them, or open an issue. Nothing is gated behind a signup and there is no paid tier of the skills themselves.
